About Austin Gisriel

You know the guy that records a baseball game from the West Coast in July and doesn't watch it until January just to see baseball in the winter? That's me. I'm a writer always in search of a good story, baseball or otherwise.

The “magic” continued after a 4-1 victory in the 1st game. What else are these guys going to do to impress us? My money is on a double header win, it is just a matter as to who will step up to the plate for the clutch hit, great play, or big pitch. I think it will be a combo of all three. “Buckle-up” here we go again O’s fans!

It seems like there is some confusion concerning a one game wild card playoff: My understanding is if we play Oakland, the game will played in their park. This is due to the fact that they won the season series with the Orioles (5-4) Others feel that if the Birds have an overall winning record, it would be played here. What is your take on this?

    • The #1 wild card team hosts the play-in game. If the two wild cards have the same record, then it goes to head-to-head match ups. As of today, the Orioles and Braves would host the wild card game.

Ok O’s fans, it’s time to take another ride on the “Buck-Truck” I can’t think of a more fitting way to honor # 5 Mr 3rd base Brooks Robinson, who will have his statue unveiled tonight, than to put this one “in the win column”! This is dedicated to all O’s fans everywhere.

It’s time to take a serious look back at what our O’s have done in 2012. Who would have believed in April, that this unique team, played with such determination, and heart would be playing their most critical game since 1997. my hat goes off to Buck, who seemed to push all the right buttons at the right time. We also had a great core of fans who never gave up on these guys, and it showed with the performance on the field. Thanks O’s for lighting the spark that brought this town back to life again. No matter what happens in Arlington tomorrow night, keep your heads up high!
